Idols!

We have so many idols in the world. People we have put on thrones, we put in front of God. Money is not excluded from Idols, it is a tool we use, but it can also be the source of sin in our lives. It can be hard to give offering and it can be hard not to want to watch T.V. all the time. It seems to be even harder to read the Bible, now why is that? I think it is because it may seem old fashioned, but to me it seems even more relevant today than ever!

Promises

Sometimes we make promises to other people and to ourselves. Even though we fully know we can never keep them. That is the wonderful thing about God, He ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS keep His promises. Unlike us, He never forgets, never lies and never cheats. God knew we would need a saviour so He sent His only son to take your's and my place on the cross so we could live with Him for all of eternity. We will never be able to fathom how long that is or what heaven will be like. But I know that it is real!

Soft Lips

Dry lips can be such a bother sometimes. I love this home remedy, it just takes sugar and water. All you do is put a little water with the sugar and then rub it on your lips. after that just put some lip balm on and there, soft lips in ten seconds!

Brown eyeshadow

Brown eyeshadow is pretty much universally gorgeous. I have always had a problem with those makeup kits that say you should put this color in the crease of your eye so I just don't follow that. I alwas put the darkest color on my eyelid and then blend it a little as it goes up. I also use the lighter color and blend that upward towards my eyebrow so it just kind of fads into your normal skin tone.After all that I put on some powder and then some brown eyeliner, sometime black can make the brown look kind of wierd. The last two step is lipgloss and mascara, black mascara so you can really see the different colors in your eyes.

Patience

I need patience all the time! Lately I have been wanting a cell phone and I have not been very patient which does not get you anywhere with your parents. God gives patience when you ask, it's not like one of those things you ask and God say  ''Just  a minute." He answers you need right then and there! That's how much He loves you and everyone else too! God wants you to ask Him for anything, He longs to hear YOUR voice. It doesn't even have to be a prayer, it can just be like you talking to a friend.

Church life

My family and I have been having some issues with my church. Some people are just having a hard time understanding what we believe. I love God so much! He is my one and only love!

Tonight

I am really excited about tonight, it's youth group! Tonight is an all worship and testimony night because of camp. I love these types of nights! :)

Yesterday

I went to get my haircut and the lady was really nice, but for some reason I just really wanted to start cracking up and see people reactions. Also my mom my sister and I went to drop off a lasgna for a lady who is pregnant and bed-ridden, her little boy opened the door and just starred at me and siad "hi" I told him to put the lasgna in the fridge. He then took it and slammed the door in my face. He is a character. Later on that day, My sister and I went babysitting for a six year old girl and a four year old boy. So we get there and they are playing hide and seek and we have to find them, they were hiding by the laundry room door. They then began to attack us and tackle us to the floor. Once they stopped they asked if we could make some necklaces and braclets. The little boy made a necklace and bracelet for his mom ( the necklace was the size of a braclet). The little girl made two braclets, they were really cute! Later we put the kiddos to bed and the girl get to stay up later than the boy and play in her room. So she was making a little polar bear our of legos, she was making it on the windowsill. All of a sudden we hear her crying so my sister runs up there. It turns out she just dropped and lego down the airvent and thought she was  in trouble. She is so adorable! :)

Faith & Faithfulness

1 Kings 19:10-
He replied, " I have been very zealous for the Lord Amighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too."

• Elijah was feeling discouaged and thought that he was the only one left who would serve God.
• God is faithful to you all the time, and remember, you're not the only only one left.

Job 2:10-
He replied, " You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?"

• Sometimes we think if we believe in God that He stops everything bad from happening to us. But when something bad happens, we doubt Gods goodness. We need to realize and have faith that God is doing the best thing for us
• God is very capable of helping us out of hard circumstances, we need to have faith that He will.

Love

This sounds like a strange topic, but really I am just going to talk about brotherly love and how God loves us

1 Corinthians 13:13-
And now these three remain: Faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is love

• Love is an attribute of God
• Love will endure forever
• Faith is the foundation and content of God's message, hope is the attitude and focus and love is the action.
• When faith and hope are in line, you're free to love because you understand God's love.

1 John 3:16-
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

• Love is an action, not a feeling
• Love produces selfless sacrificial giving, just like what Jesus did for us
• By serving other people without any expectancy ofrecieving anything back, this is a way you can sacrifice yourself to ther people

Proverbs 13:24-
Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to descipline them.

• Parents descipline their children becuase they love them, not because they dislike them
•  The greatest responsiblity that God gave parents is the descipline and guidance of their children
•  the lack of descipline questions how much parents love their children because they are not helping their child build their character.

I Am back from Camp

I really met God this weekend at camp. I believe that God has broken many chains in my life. I hope that through this camp and through all the praying that everyone did that God will show up in other people lives too! I you ever need prayer or anything like that feel free to message me.

Patience

Patience Is the topic of my bible study today:
 Job 6:11
"What strength do I have, that I should still hope?
What prospects that I should be patient?"

• Job is talking to his friend Eliphaz, Eliphaz has just told Job about something that God had said to him about Job.
• We need to have hope even when we feel like we can never get out of a place or situation
• We also need to be patient even if we are angry or are hurt by someone or something. We may feel like God can't hear our cries or that He is ignoring us, but that is the devil talking to us and we need to stand firm against what he says because he does not want us to have a relationship with God.

Proverbs 14:29
Whoever is patient has great understanding,
but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.

•  Anger divides people and can start a fire that can destroy people, but if we stay cool and try to understand the situation before getting mad and angry with the person we can keep our cool and come to a better understanding. In situations like that patience is key.

Psalms 40:1
I waited patiently for the Lord,
He turned to me and heard my cry.

• Waiting patiently isn't easy, but if you wait for God or anything really, you'll reap the benefits.
• God does not always give you the things that you want, but He does do the things that are best for you rather than just giving you something that is not good for you.

Ephesians 4:2
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love

• You need to show how you love and respect each other by being patient and kind. One of my friends told me, when you're being disrespectful to your brother or sister would you do that to your best friend?
•  You also need to be humble enough to say you're sorry when you did something wrong.

Supersizing It!

When you tell the truth it needs to be the whole truth. It is kind of like when you go to court and the judge says to you " DO you swear to say the truth and nothing but the truth?" Well what would you say? No! Or would you say "I swear"? Of course you would! Because if you didn't, you could get in trouble. So...... Why do we lie to our friends and family? Even of it is just a little white lies can hurt you and/or other people around you. God doesn't want us to lie. Why do we lie when we know that in the long run that it is better to tell the real, and I mean real truth and not just half the truth. I have lied and I am no different than you. Only by Gods grace can we change! :)
